=====The Nightmare=====

"I'm here, I'm here, what's wrong Jordan?"\\

"I had a nightmare! It was horrible. I was trying to get into the house but it was locked and all the lights were off and it was dark outside and I was all on my own and the wind was being really loud and scary and all the trees had something hiding behind them every time I turned around and then the sky had been clear but suddenly all these clouds started pouring in to the sky so all the stars went but the moon wasn't covered and became a spotlight on me and I tried to run away but couldn't get out of the spotlight and then I couldn't move anymore and heard a weird chittering and could smell a horrible smell like the attic at granny's and then something touched me on my shoulder and I screamed and woke up."\\

"Oh sweetheart, that sounds like a very scary nightmare. No wonder you woke up. I'll tell you what, let's pick out another bedtime book, and then you, me, and Goldie can read it together until you feel better enough to go to sleep. Look, here's Goldie, he was just on the floor. You must have thrown him by accident when you woke up."\\

"Ok Daddy. Thank you."

=====A New Arrival=====

"Here you are, champ. I've found Kelly's old nightlight for you - look!"

"Ooh, that's pretty! It's like a magical space narwhal!"

"Yep. I think she used to call it the Starwhal. It kept her safe when she used to have nightmares. I'll put that up in your room now, and hopefully it can keep the nightmares away tonight, sound good?"

"Thanks, Daddy!"



=====Scout Reports=====

Among Jordan's toys are the eyebles, a set of marbles, each with an eye suspended in it, so that it always faces horizontally even as the marble rolls, and a tiny mouth drawn under the pupil of the eye.  They are, frankly, a little creepy and a trip hazard at the best of times, but they make great scouts, even if they can't do much when they get there.

With a great many places to investigate on the first night, these are only cursory glimpses in to what's out there.

====Under The Bed====

As the beastfolk from under the bed attacked, some brave eyebles snuck past them to investigate where they came from.

They saw a great plain, stretching out for a large distance (at least as large as the living room), dotted with encampments which appeared to be the homes of the monsters that attacked.  The eyebles saw some skirmishes between the groups - apparently competing for access to the room.

To the North, there stands a great black tower, covered in spikes and channelling lightning down from a swirling black sky.

To the West, there appears to be a large, ancient forest - a hunting party of beastfolk was seen heading towards this, and were picked off by some large creature in the woods.

To the East, the plains descend into a black morass of a swamp. What appears to be the ruins of old playsets jut from the stagnant water.

====Around the House====

Scouting of the rest of the house was limited, due to the eyebles encountering a large, fluffy, beast that was enthusiastic about chasing them and keen to play.  It appears that the family have got a dog, and it roams the house.

They didn't get much in the way of specifics, due to the need to avoid the rampaging puppy, but did notice that there were no boxes around, and it seems that anything not unpacked on the first day is up in the attic, though a few items are clearly in the wrong rooms.

=====Space Saloon in Shambles=====

"Well, that's not great." Super Sally looked around the wreckage of the space saloon, hands on her hips. The building had been tipped on its side by the monsters, the bottles had all fallen off the shelves and rolled who-knows-where, and none of the blinky lights were blinking. Four empty sockets on the floor - now the wall - of the saloon marked where the piano should be. "Has anyone seen the piano?"

"It's over there, in the middle of the room." Raymond Fairweather wheeled over. "We'd better get it moved before Dad or Jordan steps on it - there'll be no fixing it if that happens."

Sally sighed. "This is not going to be a small job to clear up."

=====Group Therapy=====

For those of us who are softer toys Mimble Marble has offered to host a group therapy session to help come to terms with last nights attack. This will be held in the same place as the forthcoming weekly "bad character, good toy" sessions, under the craft table.

=====Rooms in Use=====

For turn 1, it's a Saturday so Jordan, Kelly, and Dad are home during the day.  The kitchen, the living room, and Kelly's room will be occupied during the day.
