Eternity and Debrief

Eternity

The final turnsheet of the game, after session 14, will work a little differently to the others. Instead of being about what your character will be doing that day and night like the other turnsheets, it will cover what your character's goals and ambitions are for the rest of their existence.

The exact format of this “Eternity” turnsheet will depend on the state of the game at that point (and in particular, whether there are plots that would benefit from being wrapped up by including some standard turnsheet actions alongside the long-term narrative). We will confirm the actual format before the final session.

Eternity Writeups

The results of the Eternity turnsheet will also be quite different to a normal turnsheet response - for the most part, these will be public, and written in a style more similar to the news than to a turnsheet response. That is, they will reflect what is known about your character's actions, and will leave more gaps in the details than a typical turnsheet response. Since this will be the end of the game, those gaps are yours to fill in with whatever you wish to.

Usually (again, this depends a lot of what the story looks like at that point), the events close to the end of the game will be more detailed, with things in the far future being described more loosely, eventually fading to a point where we draw a line under the story of this game and leave the rest fully to your imaginations.

Debrief

Two weeks after the final session, on 24th September 2024, we will gather again at the Asian Cultural Centre for an out-of-character debrief. Anyone who played the game is welcome to attend, even if they dropped out part-way through.

The debrief is entirely out-of-character. The players will sit in a rough semicircle, facing the GM table, and each player will have a few minutes to explain what was going on with their character, reveal any deep dark secrets or favourite moments, and answer any questions from the other players or the GMs.

If you can't make it to the debrief, then you can provide the GMs or another player with something to read on your behalf, if you wish.

Once all the players have had a chance to speak, the GMs will answer any questions that people might have, until either the questions run out or 10pm, at which point there will be a post-session social at Sundaes, as usual.

Discord Q&A

For those that can't make the debrief, or for questions that come up later or which we did not have time for, Q&A channels will be made on the game's Discord server for each character, as well as a space for questions for the GMs. These will only be open after the debrief, to avoid spoiling any surprises, and engagement with this is entirely optional.
