Night Knights

Eyes and teeth in darkness gleaming
While you lie asleep and dreaming,
Monsters underneath the bed
Come to feed on fear and dread.

Unnamed terrors in the night,
Ghosts and ghouls and things that bite-
Darkness lends your fears form;
Nightmares all around you swarm.

Yet sleeping children need not fear,
For we, your staunchest knights are here,
Standing firm 'gainst horrors vile,
Sanctuary for every child.

Tirelessly we vigil keep,
Guardians of your peaceful sleep.
Ghosts will touch not hide nor hair
While we remain - your teddybears.

Night Knights is a fortnightly parlour LARP (Live-Action Role Playing game) run for the Oxford LARP Society. You will play as a teddy bear or other toy, trying to protect your child from the monsters under the bed.

The game takes place fortnightly, starting on Wednesday, January 29th 2025, at the Asian Cultural Centre in Oxford.

The game has already started, but it is still open to new players.

This game is inspired by the Oxford University RPGSoc 'Society Game' format. If you're a new player we recommend checking out our Introduction page for more information, and you can get a feel of the game on the Style and Tone page. Otherwise you can jump straight into the world of Night Knights by reading about setting details like the family or the monsters. Then you can find out how to make a character and join the game over at character creation.

We have a Discord Server. Joining this is not required (we'll be making announcements via email and in session as well), but it's a good place to socialise with your fellow players and chat about the game.
