scout

This is an old revision of the document!

Scout

My toys go on lots of exciting adventures when I am asleep. My Dad says we keep losing things in the move, but I think my friends are taking them. I won’t tell on them though.

The House is very big, and most of the toys are very small. Scouts will bravely go where no toy has gone before – scary places like Downstairs. Outside of Jordan’s room is a land of resources and tools that can be used to help in the ongoing fight against monsters, but we can’t get them if we don’t go there.

Exploring

We find ourselves in a new house, full of places we don’t know about. Some places – the attic, under the bed – we know we haven’t explored yet. Outside of Jordan’s room, who knows? There’s an entire house full of potential!

Resources

The better materials we have access to, the better stuff the Crafters can build. We do our best with what’s in Jordan’s room, but around the house there must be all sorts of great stuff! As well as that, we might be able to find backup and allies – Kelly’s toys were in charge at the old house, they might have some helpful advice for us.

Information

While the Dreamweavers might be able to gather info on Jordan's psyche, us Scouts are the best about getting info on Jordan's life. Sometimes we can get ideas on where Nightmares might be coming from by looking around the home, or by looking through Jordan’s schoolwork (older toys might remember the Frog Incident of three years ago). Mostly, we find out what the family is up to, and what might be coming up in Jordan's life. The resources we can find around the house are not just physical objects – the information available can be just as helpful.

Example Class Actions

  • Head into the attic to look for resources
  • Make an expedition to Kelly’s room to see if we can get information from the veteran toys
  • Try to map the realm under the bed
