Brawn the Berzerker
The Funeral
The figure of Teddy Chair stands in front of the crowded toys
“Our friend Brawn was lost to us during the battle for the tower, his brave sacrifice ending the reign of Him. We are here today to offer our thanks to our dear friend for his dedication to Jordan, and to us his friends. We-”
Teddy Chair stops speaking, mouth agape, tears forming. Behind the crowd, standing in the doorway between realms, broken, filthy, and smiling like a sinner, is Brawn.
The Dream
“Mornin' Jordin'! How did you sleep?”
“Really good Mum! I was being chased by a bunch of strange people in black masks and couldn't escape but Brawn came in and saved the day! He was really cool and gave me a sword that looked like his and we fought the bad guys off together!”
“Really? I thought Brawn was always a bad guy? I remember you saying when Mary-Lou got you him.”
“No, he isn't bad, he just looks scary but he's really a hero!”
The Hero
There is a legend, in the realm of monsters and nightmares. When a monster from the Dark Woods attacks a village, there he will be. When a stray nightmare forms in the sky above, there he will be. When Bandits lay siege he will appear.
The Slayer of Monsters. The Hero of The Dark Tower. He Who Has No Fear.
