Plants
Whoever owned the house before Mum and Dad did not take the best care of the garden - it’s quite overgrown, and Mum and Dad haven’t had a chance to tame it all yet. The plants are territorial, and have various different types of defences/attacks.
What they want:
‘Want’ is a kind of strange concept - the plants are not sentient, but they are driven by biology to a) be very territorial over the garden space and b) try and expand and grow their territory What they do: ‘Defend’ the garden, be passive or active threats to anybody exploring the garden for useful resources, maybe in the future be a threat in the conservatory (they do seem interested in the windows somehow, wort keeping an eye on)
How to stop them:
Fire? But generally slashing and attacking will deal with any immediate threats, and avoiding dangerous areas will avoid the threat entirely.

Name: | Latin: | Behaviour | Notes |
Adder’s Tongue | Ophioglossum vulgatum | If approached, will start to act like a threatened snake and attack
Snapdragon | Antirrhinum majus | If something gets near, will either reach out to bite/attack
Bindweed | Calystegia spp. | Ensnares and puppets to use the abilities of those trapped for themselves | These are what trapped Belladonna and forced her to fight for the garden |
Dog Rose | Rosa canina | Will use briars to attack toys, leaving behind a powder that causes discomfort
Elder Tree | Sambucus nigra | If attacked, or attempts made to harvest, will summon a swarm of bees to defend itself
Goosegrass | Galium aparine | Attach burrs to passers by | At first just an annoyance and then Gets Worse. Will trap the unwary |
Ground Ivy | Glechoma hederacea | Toys that head into Ivy areas may find themselves trapped and need cutting out
Jersey Lily (Belladonna Lily) | Amaryllis belladona | Not dangerous, although the name may be misleading
Nettle | Urtica dioca | Very painful to touch, lurk in edges and corners/around shed to attack
Quaking Grass | Briza media | Seemingly normal patches of grass, unstable when stepped on | Could be mapped out and avoided, patches throughout garden |
Shepherd’s Purse | Capsella bursa-pastoris | Attempt to steal items being carried by those venturing into the garden | Stolen items can apparently be retrieved by defeating these plants |
