A Farewell to Cowboys and Watering Holes
Sad times this evening as beloved cowboy-come-fairy-princess Colorado Butch perishes while defending our beloved home. Reports say the folk hero died saving his friends from the burning Saloon, which has unfortunately also been destroyed. I know all of us here will miss our favorite cowpoke.
Dreamcatcher Repaired
With many thanks to all those who donated items we are happy to announce the Dreamcatcher has been repaired and successfully aligned to Jordan's dream world according to The Seer! If you would like to donate anything else in the coming days to help with strengthening the link please contact The Seer, Bleep-Bloop, or Bean.
Playtime
Jordan comes in from school looking worried. They immediately notice the smoke alarm cover lying on the floor, and look up at the ceiling. Their eyes widen in horror. “Dad! Dad, the smoke alarm doesn't have a battery in!”
Dad appears after a minute, and sees the empty smoke alarm. He frowns. “Honestly, who takes the batteries out of a smoke alarm when they move? Really, that's just common courtesy. You leave the light bulbs in the fittings, and the batteries in the smoke detector. I don't know.” He goes downstairs, rummages in the kitchen, and returns a few minutes later with a replacement battery, which he fits in the smoke detector before replacing the cover.
With that fixed, Jordan sits down and assembles all the toys. They look confused when they can't find Roxy, and search for her for a couple of minutes, before deciding, “This is a very important talk, and it can't wait for the latecomers. You all are going to have to tell Roxy and Stuntman Sam about it when you see them, okay?”
With that, Jordan proceeds to give a (somewhat rambling) fire safety talk to the assembled toys. They appoint Zeep and Princess Emerald as Fire Safety Instructors, and uses them as mouthpieces to deliver the lecture. It appears that Jordan's school had a talk from firefighters today, and it left a strong impression. They brought home a book about a firefly who burns down the forest by playing with matches, which gets read out solemnly to the toys. The talk ends with a very firm, “So remember, don't play with matches!”

Nightmare
Jordan doesn't mention a nightmare when Dad wakes them up this morning. Maybe things went well? The toys in the bedroom overnight may know more.
Birds in the Shed
Anyone happening to glance out of the window in the morning before the meeting will spot some commotion around the shed. Various of the corvids from around the garden have taken advantage of it being opened, and there's a constant fluttering in and out.
Dad does not yet seem to have noticed.
Room Closures
Dad has taken a day off to try and get the house sorted before he takes the kids away for the weekend. All downstairs rooms (living room, kitchen, conservatory etc) are off-limits for this turn. The garden and all upstairs rooms (all bedrooms, bathrooms, study) are available.
